What if we unapologetically pursued our dreams?
In this video, I share how I spent last week on the East Coast with my daughter exploring colleges and talking to sailing coaches, and Iβm in awe of her adventurous spirit and tenacity as she goes after what she wants. And it has me wonderingβ¦
What would happen if we were all as brave as my daughter?
What if we said yes to opportunities that scare and excite you, and to find a path where one doesnβt seem to exist?
What if we kept moving forward, even when your prospects donβt look great - because you never know which action will move the needle or which person will get you the right introduction?
The college application process is so different than when I went to school! π΅π»
But it is not unlike the career transitions that my clients find themselves in - following clues and breadcrumbs on a path that is not straight, trying things on and questioning assumptions as you try to stay open to a bigger dream, attuning to what you deeply want amidst the stress of life, overcoming limiting beliefs as they pop up along the windy path, and trusting that you are awesome and the right situation for you is out there - you just have to be patient while you find a match for you.
I am passionate about helping people create a good life, whatever that means to them. π Because I believe that the world benefits from each of us becoming fully realized potentiality. β¨
The problems we are facing are too complex to continue operating in the way we have. More creativity and innovation and resilience is required to meet the challenges ahead of us. We are asked to do more with less, and manage increased market and political volatility, all while finding new ways of working together that honor diversity.
And when we waste time playing small, maintaining the status quo, or holding back out of fear, we arenβt able to get curious, stay open, and listen deeply for something new to emerge.
What would our world look like if each of us could unapologetically pursue our dreams, make a contribution out of our natural passions, and at the same time created a safe container for each other to be fully ourselves?
This is what Iβm all about. It is the core of the work that I do.
Onward, friend
